Im12 weeks 4days today and have been getting conflicting information so any advice would be awesome. As of 9wks 6days my Hcg level was at 7790, I went to a follow up appointment 2days later had another Hcg test and the level dropped to 7152. Went 2 days later to have an ultra sound done and expecting the worst saw a fully active baby with a heart beat of 167 and it measured at 11wks not 10 1/2. Had my first ob appointment yesturday and did all the normal tests and another Hcg just to see where its at and it had dropped yet again. I got to listen to the heart beat and it was super strong and regular. I have an appointment with a specialist tomarrow but I dont know what to expect. Anyone have any kind of idea what might be going on except the worst thing possable?

That's odd, I know there are some ladies who have been through something similar on the original pregly forum and they sometimes forget to come over here and look. Mind if I post something asking them to come help?
Could there have been a second baby/sac? That's the only thing I can think of

Yes you are more than welcome to repost on the other forum. Any ideas at this point help. I was told at my prenatal appointment on wed that there had been a blood clot found along side the lining of my uterus when they did the ultra sound 2 weeks ago. But the Hcg levels have all said one baby, but I have been thinking like you were there 2 and the other just didnt mature right and that is whats setting everything off.? Im ready to understand whats going on and willing to do what ever if there is anything I can do to bring this little one to full term healthy.

Sorry so being late on the update, everything is awesome! The OB told me that after about 7wks they normaly stop checking the Hcg levels because they can see the baby on the ultra sound. The levels go up to a certain point and then begin to drop back down because other hormons take over in the placenta. She found the heart beat right away with the doppler and did another ultra sound to make sure growth was on track and I was at 12wks 5days and baby measured at 12wks 4days and was very active. Every thing looks great and I was told I shouldnt worry any more. Thank you all for the support.

Yep I am, or as much as I can be with everyone wanting to know what it is. Find that out on the 21 and it cant seem to come fast enough. As long as it stay healthy and as active as it has been I will be greatful of that no matter what it is. :-)
